Job Summary

The City of Stuttgart's Civil Engineering Department/Urban Drainage Utility (SES) is seeking a Plant Operations Engineer to manage operations across three satellite wastewater treatment plants (Möhringen, Plieningen, and Ditzingen). This role focuses heavily on project management, particularly serving as the project officer for implementing Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects. A core responsibility involves overseeing the BIM-supported construction project for the complete conversion of the Möhringen treatment plant. Day-to-day tasks include leading projects, developing and evaluating optimization measures, and contributing to high-level departmental tasks. Candidates must hold a degree in Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or Civil Engineering with a specialization in Urban Water Management, possess knowledge of wastewater processes, and demonstrate strong communication skills to convey complex issues clearly to the team. Professional experience in wastewater technology, preferably at a treatment plant, and additional qualifications in BIM or digitalization are highly desirable.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree in Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, or Civil Engineering specializing in Urban Water Management, or a comparable field. Additional qualification in BIM, Digitalization, or Process Optimization is desirable.
