Job Summary
The City of Stuttgart is seeking a dedicated Traffic Manager to independently oversee and manage traffic regulation and planning within an assigned city district. This role, situated within the Office for Public Order, involves autonomous processing of individual projects, such as street space redesign, and contributing to larger traffic planning initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include making decisions on permanent traffic regulation measures for all transport modes (including cycling and pedestrian traffic), participating in planning committees, and responding to citizen inquiries and suggestions regarding traffic matters. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Management or equivalent administrative qualification, possesses strong organizational and communication skills, and demonstrates the necessary assertiveness and negotiation abilities to navigate complex, discussion-rich situations. Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Public Management, Diploma in Administrative Science (FH), or equivalent completed course of study, or certified Administrative Specialist (Angestelltenlehrgang II/Verwaltungsfachwirt), or Administrative Officer with successful promotion to the higher non-technical administrative service.
Experience
- Professional experience, preferably in regulatory administration (Ordnungsverwaltung)
- Knowledge of general administrative law is desirable
