Job Summary

The University of Greifswald is seeking an internationally recognized W2 Professor of Plant Physiology to represent the field broadly in research and teaching within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The successful candidate will focus on the physiological basis of plant functions, with a strong research background in Ecophysiology, particularly concerning biotic interactions, climate change adaptation, and stress research. Key areas of interest include plant adaptation strategies to climatic stressors (drought, flooding), plant-microbiome interactions, and responses to combined abiotic and biotic stress, often involving molecular and epigenetic mechanisms.
