Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the 'Multimodal Behavior Analysis and Interaction' subproject within the BehAIve initiative at the University of Greifswald's Institute for Data Science. The role focuses on developing AI-driven solutions to support elderly individuals and geriatric patients, thereby addressing the growing need for long-term care and alleviating the strain on nursing staff. Day-to-day tasks involve developing advanced methods for automated knowledge extraction, semantic modeling (Ontologies, Knowledge Graphs), and data quality assurance from heterogeneous data sources. A key focus will be on creating interactive assistants using Large Language Models (LLMs) and GraphRAG approaches. The successful candidate must possess a completed PhD in AI or Data Science, solid practical experience with deep neural networks, NLP techniques (RAG, Prompt Engineering), and proficiency in Python. This role also includes co-supervising PhD students and publishing scientific results in peer-reviewed journals, contributing significantly to cutting-edge interdisciplinary research.
