Job Summary

This role involves cutting-edge research focused on the fluid mechanics of cerebral aneurysms, situated within the MR Physics group at the University of Greifswald. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing an experimental platform utilizing patient-specific, 3D-printed aneurysm models to validate MRI flow measurements. Key duties include comparing experimental in-vitro results with in-vivo MR studies and numerical simulations, developing new clinically applicable procedures, and supervising a PhD student focusing on sequence development. This position requires a doctoral degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field, strong expertise in object-oriented programming (C++, Python, or MATLAB), and excellent communication skills in both English and German. It offers a unique opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary, research-intensive environment, contributing to an EU-funded project in close collaboration with university hospitals and flow laboratories.
