Job Summary

This Research Associate position, based in the Institute for Data Science at the University of Greifswald, involves contributing to the innovative BehAIve project. This project focuses on developing an AI-supported, situation-adaptive system using continuous sensor monitoring to assist older adults and geriatric patients, thereby improving their quality of life and relieving the burden on nursing staff. The successful candidate, who will be a doctoral researcher, will concentrate on the subproject "Scalable Systems for Multimodal Data Analysis." Day-to-day tasks include developing scalable systems for knowledge extraction, planning model learning from written data, language-based interaction, and activity/situation recognition using sensor data. Key qualifications include a Master’s degree in AI or Data Science, practical experience with machine learning (especially deep neural networks and sensor analysis), and excellent English proficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to conduct impactful, interdisciplinary research in a critical area of demographic change and healthcare.
