Job Summary

This position seeks a highly motivated and experienced Post-Doctoral or PhD researcher to join the MatriPath-Lab at the University Medical Center Freiburg, focusing on spatial biology within glomerular kidney disease. The successful candidate will utilize advanced spatial biology methods, such as multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial transcriptomics, combined with functional studies to delineate underlying disease mechanisms in renal pathologies. This role involves dissecting the relevance of cell-matrix interactions using a broad methods portfolio, including in vitro, in vivo, and in situ analysis. Key requirements include a PhD or Master's degree in Life Sciences, a strong publication record, and expertise in bioinformatics analysis (R, Python). The researcher will benefit from a supportive, interdisciplinary environment with access to cutting-edge techniques like CRISPR/Cas9, 3D culture, and complex imaging modalities, contributing to highly translational research.
