Job Summary

This doctoral position focuses on fundamental and translational immunological research, specifically investigating mechanisms of immune escape in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) following allogeneic stem cell transplantation. The core objective is to understand the complex interactions between leukemic and immune cells leading to immune evasion and relapse. The successful candidate will utilize state-of-the-art single-cell and high-throughput technologies, including Spectral Flow Cytometry, CITE-seq, and CODEX Imaging, alongside associated bioinformatic analyses. Responsibilities also include implementing preclinical mouse models to analyze leukemia-immune interactions and performing functional T-cell assays and signaling studies. A completed Master's degree in Molecular Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field is required, along with prior experience in cell or immunology, ideally involving mouse models. This role offers intensive supervision and interdisciplinary collaboration within a renowned research group at the University Hospital Freiburg.
