Job Summary

This role is a foundational and translational immunological research position focused on understanding immune escape mechanisms in Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) leading to relapse after allogeneic stem cell transplantation. The Doctoral Researcher will work within the Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplantation Clinic at the University Hospital Freiburg, utilizing state-of-the-art single-cell and high-throughput technologies, including Spectral Flow Cytometry, CITE-seq, and CODEX Imaging, combined with bioinformatic analyses. Key responsibilities include conducting functional T-cell assays, immune checkpoint analyses, and working with preclinical mouse models to study leukemia-immune interactions. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in Molecular Medicine, Biology, or a related field, possesses experience in cell or immunobiology, and demonstrates strong interest in translational cancer and systems immunology. This position offers intensive supervision, interdisciplinary cooperation, and integration into the 'OncoEscape' Graduate School, providing an excellent international environment for completing a scientific dissertation.
