Job Summary

This Senior IT Technician role in Augsburg is crucial for the daily operation, maintenance, and continuous development of the datacenter infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on management of server and network systems, including hardware racking, patching, and comprehensive documentation according to established standards (Copper & Fiber Optic). A key focus of the role involves implementing automation using scripting languages like Bash, Python, and PowerShell in both Unix/Linux and Windows environments, specifically for building Linux-based hypervisors (e.g., Proxmox VE) and managing Container/Kubernetes infrastructures. You will also handle 2nd-level hands-on support, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate external technical deployments while ensuring strict adherence to security policies and SLAs. This position requires a strong background in server hardware (HPE, Dell, Lenovo), networking (Cisco, HP Aruba), and familiarity with cloud infrastructures (Azure, AWS, Openstack). Good German and English skills are essential for effective communication and documentation.
