Job Summary

This crucial role as a Category Manager focuses on managing and optimizing relationships with Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) within the External Manufacturing Services department in Basel. Day-to-day responsibilities involve leading strategic sourcing initiatives, including CDMO site selection and rigorous due diligence assessments. A core function is conducting complex pricing negotiations and managing all contracting activities related to CMO agreements, ensuring robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) processes are executed effectively. The ideal candidate must possess a university degree in a relevant scientific or business field and a minimum of five years of experience in CMO management or procurement, coupled with proven expertise in GMP compliance. This is a high-impact, 6-9 month contract position within Global Procurement, requiring fluent English communication skills and strong analytical capabilities to drive strategic value and ensure successful task completion in a dynamic, international environment. The role offers the flexibility of home office work while being based at the Basel site.

Required Skills

Education

Experience
