Job Summary

This role provides a crucial link between large-scale construction projects and the operational organization, focusing on Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) compliance within a GMP-relevant chemical/pharmaceutical production environment in Basel. The Building Safety Officer is responsible for supporting the existing SHE organization, issuing work permits to external contractors, and ensuring adherence to all relevant safety regulations through site inspections and participation in coordination meetings. The ideal candidate must possess a background as a Chemical or Laboratory Technician, coupled with at least three years of professional experience in chemical production and specialized training as a Safety Assistant or Specialist (EKAS/ASGS). Success in this position requires excellent communication, a solution-oriented mindset, and the ability to remain composed while overseeing complex, large-scale construction activities.
