Job Summary

This permanent position seeks an IT Engineer to join the Office for Digitization, Organization, and IT (DO.IT) for the City of Stuttgart, focusing specifically on browser technology. The core responsibility is ensuring the smooth and reliable operation and administration of city-wide deployed browsers. Day-to-day tasks include managing the entire browser lifecycle, from conception and design to continuous improvement through testing and operation. The role involves providing 2nd-level support for browser environments and assisting Citizen Developers with inquiries regarding web technologies. You will be instrumental in translating technical requirements into viable solutions, including project-related software engineering tasks within the web environment. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a comparable field, initial experience in complex system analysis and concept creation, and professional experience developing web applications. Fluent German (C1 level) is mandatory for this role, which offers job security and flexible work models.

Experience
