Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Python Developer to join a global technology group in Munich, focusing on migrating and modernizing a critical analog/digital measurement system. The core responsibility involves analyzing the existing C# system and developing a robust, flexible, Python-based interface for automated and manual testing of radio frequencies and communication paths. Day-to-day tasks include migrating existing C# test cases to Python, ensuring data and test compatibility between the two systems, and designing a modular software architecture that allows for simple integration and execution of short-term Python scripts. The developer will also focus on creating user-friendly interfaces (potentially using PyQt) and comprehensive technical documentation for end-users and developers. Key requirements include expert knowledge of Python (3.x+), experience controlling hardware via interfaces (USB, serial), familiarity with C#, CI/CD practices, and version control (Git). This position offers up to 60% remote work and requires the system conversion to be completed within 12 months.
