Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Technical Facility Operations Manager for the Federal Agency for Real Estate (BImA) in Trier. The successful candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive technical management of federal properties, including facilities used by Customs, Federal Police, and the THW. Core duties include ensuring operational safety, coordinating internal and external personnel, developing sustainable operating concepts, and overseeing the execution and acceptance of technical maintenance and repair contracts. You will be responsible for fulfilling the operator's obligations for technical systems and supporting external operators as needed. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (such as Electrical, Supply, or Civil Engineering) coupled with extensive practical experience in technical building management and a strong understanding of German technical standards (VOB, VDE, DIN). This is a full-time, permanent opportunity to manage a complex portfolio of significant federal properties within a stable public service environment.

Required Skills

Education

Completed University Degree (Bachelor or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energies, Supply/Energy/Environmental Technology, Civil Engineering, or Industrial Engineering

Experience

  • Extensive practical experience in technical facility management
  • Experience in operating and controlling technical building systems
  • Experience in conducting contract awards using performance specifications

  • Positive completion of a Federal Security Clearance (SÜG) is required; Driver's license Class B/3; Willingness to undertake business travel and attend training (potentially multi-day)
