Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Clinical Study Manager role offers a unique opportunity to coordinate and manage the internationally significant PASTA clinical trial, focusing on high-dose steroid use for pediatric stroke across 7 countries and over 30 sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operational management of the study, including advising worldwide centers, organizing international Steering Board meetings, managing initiation processes, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory and ethical standards. You will collaborate closely with the University of Bern's Department for Clinical Research regarding data management and statistics. Key requirements include a completed relevant degree (e.g., Life Sciences, Neuropsychology) and prior research experience, ideally in multicenter trials. This position provides involvement in data processing and publication, working within an interdisciplinary team of physicians and PhD students at Inselspital Bern.

Required Skills

Education

Completed degree (Postdoc level) in a relevant field such as Neuropediatrics, Neuropsychology, Life Sciences, Nursing, or Public Health

Experience

  • Experience managing operational aspects of clinical studies, particularly the initiation process
  • Professional experience in research, preferably within multicenter international studies
  • Knowledge of clinical study databases and regulatory requirements (advantageous)
  • Experience in medicine or neuroscience (desired)
