Job Summary

This role at the German Weather Service (DWD) involves coordinating, maintaining, and advancing administrative and business IT systems, primarily supporting the Personnel and Business Administration division. The coordinator will act as the key interface between technical users and IT, focusing on the conception, analysis, and refinement of IT procedures and business processes. Core responsibilities include supporting the software development lifecycle, conducting system tests, ensuring quality assurance, performing SQL database evaluations, and providing user support. A major focus is driving the digitalization and modernization of administrative processes, including project leadership, risk assessment, and change management. Candidates must possess a university degree (Bachelor/FH-Diplom) in (Business) Informatics, Administration, or Business Administration, along with confident command of both German (C1) and English (B2). This position offers the opportunity to implement innovative digitalization strategies and ensure a modern, high-performing administrative infrastructure within a public service environment.

Required Skills

Education

Successful completion of a scientific university degree (Bachelor/FH-Diplom), preferably in (Business) Informatics, Administrative Sciences, or Business Administration.

Experience

  • Professional experience in User Support and IT Service Management (Desirable)
  • Professional experience in Project and Process Management (Desirable)
  • Knowledge and experience with an ERP system (preferably Oracle or SAP) (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of central service processes of an organization, ideally public administration (Desirable)
