Job Summary

This role involves joining the TRATON Group R&D transformation to design high-voltage system architecture and components for electric trucks and buses. As a Developer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end design of mechatronic and electrical components within the traction battery, moving from initial concept through to series production. A core aspect of the job is ensuring systemic compliance, particularly concerning Functional Safety (ISO 26262), Cyber Security, and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC). You will collaborate actively within multinational project teams across various TRATON brands and manage relationships with external suppliers. The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering and possesses several years of professional experience in HV battery development or power electronics. This position offers significant flexibility, allowing up to 80% remote work and global career advancement opportunities within a transforming international R&D organization.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree (B.Sc./M.Sc.) in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electromobility

Experience

  • Several years of experience in the development of high-voltage batteries, battery components, or energy and power electronics
  • Professional experience in the integration of hardware and software components
  • Professional experience in interface management
  • Professional experience working with ISO 26262 (Functional Safety), EMC guidelines, and vehicle Cyber Security requirements
