Job Summary

This role is vital for the TRATON R&D transformation, focusing on developing and introducing cutting-edge hardware components for vehicle electrical systems across brands like MAN and Scania. The Development Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of new components, including revising associated standards and specifications. Day-to-day tasks involve heavy communication with external suppliers and key internal departments such as Validation, Procurement, and Production. A core function is managing sample parts, analyzing faulty components (e.g., using TEVIS), and maintaining meticulous documentation of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings using systems like ELANIS/Windchill. Candidates must possess a strong background in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics and demonstrate fluency in both German and English. This position offers significant flexibility, including up to 80% remote work and global career opportunities within the TRATON Group.

Completed degree in Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualification

Experience

  • Professional experience in Electrics/Electrical Systems (Mandatory)
