Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join an agile, cross-functional, and international Product Team focused on the Vehicle Interface Platform at TRATON R&D Germany GmbH in Munich. The engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining software solutions crucial for future vehicles, driving key parts of the technical roadmap, and creating impactful prototypes and Minimum Viable Products (MVPs). Day-to-day tasks involve taking ownership of developed products, ensuring seamless integration into the overall system, and actively advising the team on creative backend development solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a university degree in (Business) Informatics or a related field, coupled with at least two years of professional experience in complex backend development, particularly within an international context. Essential technical skills include working knowledge of Clean Code principles, proficiency with languages like Java/Kotlin or Python, experience with frameworks such as Spring or Flask, and familiarity with Event-Driven Architectures (e.g., Kafka).
