Job Summary

This full-time, permanent position within the Fire and Rescue Services Department in Aachen involves critical infrastructure management for IT and communication systems. The officer will be responsible for both reactive and proactive infrastructure management, ensuring the operational stability, availability, and fail-safety of vital IT infrastructure. Day-to-day duties include independent maintenance and troubleshooting of network applications (IP data networks, network hardware), managing and maintaining Information and Telecommunication Technology (e.g., emergency lines, mobile devices), and handling implementation, integration, and maintenance tasks related to radio relay and satellite connections. A key focus is developing future-oriented and economic concepts to maintain stability during daily operations, major incidents, and disaster relief scenarios. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and possesses deep, long-standing expertise in planning and administering complex network infrastructures.
