Job Summary

This critical role supports the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) as their primary digitalization partner, focusing on stable, secure, and efficient IT services, particularly in tactical and operational areas. The expert will be responsible for planning and implementing on-site IT support during military exercises, operational commitments, and international deployments. Key day-to-day activities include setting up, installing, and configuring transmission systems according to specifications, and providing essential instruction and training on basic radio and telecommunications fundamentals to Bundeswehr IT personnel. Candidates must possess a degree or vocational training in IT, coupled with approximately two years of professional experience in radio planning, specifically dealing with encrypted radio technology and security-critical systems. Success requires strong knowledge of tactical Bundeswehr communication systems, IP-based networks, and excellent communication skills to train and consult with military personnel. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training or university degree in an IT-related field

Experience

  • Approximately 2 years in radio planning involving encrypted radio technology and security-critical systems
  • Experience with tactical communication systems of the Bundeswehr
  • Understanding of military task and regulation structures
  • Previous military service in telecommunications (radio or electronic warfare) within the Bundeswehr or NATO (advantageous)
