Job Summary

This role is a fixed-term Research Associate position within the Faculty of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the University of Rostock, focusing on high-power converter technology. The successful candidate will primarily work on the "Short-circuit behavior of high-power converters" project, researching converter concepts in the multi-megawatt range. Daily tasks include the experimental investigation of novel power semiconductors (>2kV blocking voltage), developing electronic assemblies, and presenting results to project partners. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics, possesses excellent knowledge of power electronics, and has practical experience with measurements on high-voltage power semiconductors.
