Job Summary

The TUD Dresden University of Technology is seeking a Research Associate for the Deutsche Telekom Chair of Communication Networks within the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering. This role focuses on scientific research for the Next Generation AI Computing project, specifically investigating novel AI hardware and corresponding software concepts. Key responsibilities include analyzing tradeoffs in energy consumption, predictability, and reliability of AI applications, developing mathematical models for innovative hardware like analog computing and spiking neural networks, and optimizing the interaction between digital and neuromorphic hardware. The ideal candidate holds a Master's degree in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, possesses strong knowledge of information theory, communication networks, machine learning, and AI, and is proficient in English.
