Job Summary

This Postdoctoral Researcher role focuses on an exciting, interdisciplinary project centered on understanding the genetic programs governing podocyte resilience in the kidney. The primary goal is to systematically investigate mechanisms that prevent protein loss during renal filtration, often compromised in kidney diseases. Day-to-day responsibilities include the cell biological characterization of human kidney organoids and primary podocytes, implementing advanced techniques like CRISPR gene editing, and conducting comprehensive transcriptome and proteome analyses of the organoids. The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Bioscience, Biochemistry, or a related field, possesses very strong expertise in molecular and cell biology, and is eager to contribute original ideas within a collaborative setting. This position offers the opportunity to work in a well-equipped laboratory environment, integrated into a highly networked interdisciplinary team of biologists, chemists, and physicians, driving the development of novel treatments for renal ailments.
