Job Summary
This role involves supporting cutting-edge research in molecular plant nutrition, focusing on how plants adapt to stress and different agricultural conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the cultivation of wheat and barley plants, preparing media, and meticulously sampling and processing plant material for chemical analysis. Key tasks also include RNA and DNA extraction, gene expression analyses using qPCR, and managing image data. The position requires a background as a biological-technical assistant or similar, with practical experience in plant cultivation and laboratory techniques. Strong organizational skills, scientific curiosity, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to world-class research aimed at developing nitrogen-efficient crops, working in a state-of-the-art facility with an international team.

Education
Biological-Technical Assistant (BTA) education, biology laboratory technician, or comparable qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in plant cultivation, sampling, and media preparation
- Familiarity with biological laboratory methods and analyses

- Foreign qualifications require an equivalence test in Germany; Project-based position until June 30, 2027
