The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a high volume of in silico-optimized endolysins using a combination of innovative AI-supported protein design and high-throughput experimental techniques. Daily tasks include testing these proteins via biochemical and microbiological assays for activity and stability, and developing a larger lab-scale downstream process to isolate the 'best-hit' endolysin for disinfectant formulation. This role offers the opportunity for intensive support toward a doctoral degree and involves close interdisciplinary collaboration with academic and industrial partners, making it an excellent opportunity for career development in applied biotechnology research.
