Job Summary

This Research Associate position, based at the Bremen University of Applied Sciences, focuses on a BMBF-funded project (KEEPA) aimed at developing AI-based, optimized endolysins as antibiotic alternatives for the animal sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a high volume of in silico-optimized endolysins using a combination of innovative AI-supported protein design and high-throughput experimental techniques. Daily tasks include testing these proteins via biochemical and microbiological assays for activity and stability, and developing a larger lab-scale downstream process to isolate the 'best-hit' endolysin for disinfectant formulation.
