Job Summary

This role involves providing essential IT support within the Rhein-Neckar-Kreis district administration's IT department, which manages a modern and innovative IT environment, including a dedicated data center and fiber-optic WAN. The IT Service Technician is responsible for the full lifecycle management of end-user devices, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of PCs, notebooks, printers, and media systems. Key daily tasks include managing user profiles, handling specialized software settings, and utilizing the baramundi software distribution solution. A critical part of the job is providing First and Second-Level support, resolving incidents via remote maintenance, telephone, or on-site visits using the OTRS ticketing system. Candidates must possess a completed vocational qualification in IT (such as IT Specialist or IT Systems Electronics Technician), expertise in current IT end devices, network technology, and Microsoft client operating systems, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills. The position also requires performing regular DGUV V3 inspections on portable electrical equipment, making a relevant certification or the willingness to obtain it quickly essential.
