Job Summary

This leadership role involves spearheading the cybersecurity strategy for critical infrastructure sectors, specifically Transport, Space, and Food, within Germany's Federal Cyber Security Agency (BSI). The successful candidate will manage a team of approximately 12 employees, focusing on the development and implementation of effective regulation and supervision to sustainably enhance cybersecurity. Day-to-day responsibilities include acting as a key driver for strengthening cybersecurity, coordinating communication formats for the department and regulated industries, and representing the BSI as a cooperative partner to the economy. This position requires an empathetic yet assertive leader who can inspire and foster a supportive team culture while actively shaping the future of cybersecurity, particularly in light of new EU directives like NIS 2 and CER. The role is based in Bonn and offers the opportunity to make digitalization safe and future-proof in essential areas of life.
