Job Summary

This role is for an IT System Support Specialist, focusing on SAP programming and application lifecycle management (ALM) within the SAP Customer Center of Expertise for a federal intelligence agency in Berlin. The primary responsibility is ensuring uninterrupted digital administrative services by providing holistic support for SAP applications. Day-to-day tasks involve customizing, adapting, and further developing SAP applications, handling 2nd level support for software errors, and implementing complex change requests across business processes. The specialist will engage in IT planning, system analysis, and consulting with specialized departments on optimal SAP usage, particularly in Finance, Logistics, or Human Resources (MM/PSM/CO/HCM). The ideal candidate must possess a relevant technical Bachelor's degree, practical experience in software development and project management, and be willing to undergo an extensive security clearance process, making this a highly responsible and confidential position.

Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor/Dipl. FH) in Computer Science, Electrical and Information Technology, Industrial Engineering (with Engineering focus), Mathematics, or Physics.

Experience

  • Professional experience in software development and project management (Desirable)
  • Experience in application testing, test procedures, and scenarios (Desirable)
  • Experience in Change Request Management, including implementation, testing, and verification (Desirable)
  • In-depth technical knowledge of SAP products (Desirable)
  • In-depth knowledge of one or more SAP applications in Finance, Logistics, or HR (MM/PSM/CO/HCM) (Desirable)
