Job Summary

This role is centered on applying data science and machine learning to optimize battery cell production, contributing to Germany and Europe's modern, scalable battery manufacturing infrastructure. The Research Associate will work within the 'Digitalization of Battery Cell Manufacturing' division, focusing on developing and implementing data-driven use cases across the entire battery value chain. Day-to-day tasks involve identifying optimization opportunities, developing robust data pre-processing pipelines from heterogeneous sources, and designing and deploying Machine Learning and AI models for production environments. Candidates must have a university degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related MINT field, coupled with initial practical experience in Data Science, ideally within battery technology. The position offers the unique opportunity to work on a lighthouse project, contribute to economic and ecological production, and potentially pursue a Ph.D. within a supportive, innovative research environment.
