Job Summary

This role involves supporting the 'Dimensional Nanometrology' division at a leading national metrology institute, focusing on the calibration and measurement operations for length and angle measuring devices. The engineer will be responsible for organizing the entire calibration process for angle measurement technology, from order intake to report generation, and actively conducting precise measurements and calibrations. Key responsibilities also include maintaining, servicing, and further developing PTB angle comparators, adapting them to new measurement systems, and modifying the associated control and data acquisition software. Candidates must hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, possess experience in adjusting optical measurement setups and sensors, and demonstrate strong programming skills in C/C++ and VHDL, along with proficiency in German (C1) and English (B2). This position offers the opportunity to actively shape the advancement of sophisticated measurement systems within a high-precision metrological environment.

University of Applied Sciences Diploma (FH-Diplom) or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable field

Experience
