Job Summary

This working student role at the Physical-Technical Federal Institute (PTB) in Braunschweig offers valuable practical experience within a leading national metrology institute. The primary focus is supporting the Technical Services department, which manages the maintenance and operation of the PTB facilities. Day-to-day tasks involve meticulous data acquisition and processing related to critical building systems. Specifically, the student will gather and prepare data on all cooling consumers to facilitate hydraulic balancing, and collect data on safety cabinets and fume hoods to prepare a maintenance tender. Candidates should be enrolled in an Energy and Building Technology (or comparable) degree program, possess excellent MS Office skills, and demonstrate a careful, independent work ethic. This position offers flexible hours tailored to academic schedules, the possibility of long-term employment (up to 40 hours/month), and the chance to contribute to essential infrastructure management in an international research environment.
