Job Summary

This role seeks an IT System Support Administrator to manage and maintain the Information Technology infrastructure at the Ammunition Supply Center East, working within the German Federal Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Key daily tasks involve planning and organizing essential hardware and software, and acting as the central point of contact for the external IT service provider (BWI GmbH) concerning system implementation, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of all deployed IT systems. A crucial component of this position is serving as the Information Security Officer or Assistant, ensuring the security of the unit's IT systems and maintaining required documentation. Candidates must possess completed vocational training in IT fields, strong knowledge of IT hardware/software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. This is a permanent, part-time position (19.5 hours per week) offering the flexibility of home office and requires a commitment to participate in necessary security clearances.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in IT Specialist, Information and System Technology, or Information Technology System Electronics, or a comparable qualification.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT system planning and organization
  • Experience in general administrative areas (Desired)
  • Willingness to travel for business trips
  • Willingness to acquire and use the Bundeswehr Class B driver's license for service vehicles
