Job Summary

This critical role involves serving as an IT Systems Electronics Technician within the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr) at the Oberlausitz military training area. The primary responsibilities center on ensuring the operational readiness of the firing safety telecommunications network and associated telecommunication facilities. Day-to-day tasks include proactively troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing systems, as well as independently executing switching operations. A key component of the job is analyzing technical documentation, such as installation, circuit, and cable diagrams, and measurement protocols, to guide work. Furthermore, the role requires installing and removing radio equipment in various locations, including vehicles, buildings, and towers, strictly adhering to relevant laws and standards. The technician is also responsible for transporting personnel and materials for the telecommunication construction and radio repair team. This is a permanent, full-time position offering stable employment under the public service collective agreement (TVöD E8) and 30 days of annual leave, with mandatory participation in ongoing professional development.

Education

Completed vocational training as an Information and Telecommunications Electronics Technician or a recognized related profession

Experience

  • Professional experience in maintenance and repair of telecommunication systems
  • Experience analyzing installation, circuit, and cable diagrams, and measurement protocols
  • Experience performing switching operations independently
  • Experience installing and removing radio equipment in various structures and vehicles
