Job Summary

This role involves leading installation and commissioning projects for railway signaling and safety technology within Germany's long-distance rail network. The Construction Manager will be responsible for end-to-end project execution, including personnel planning, material procurement, structuring workflows, and ensuring the quality of all installation work. A key component of the role is the technical leadership of a small team of fitters, ensuring strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) regulations. The manager will also define work packages for subcontractors, monitor execution, and prepare systems for commissioning and customer acceptance. This position requires extensive travel across Germany (North, South, West, and East) and demands strong organizational skills, technical expertise in automation systems, and fluent German communication to succeed in this critical area of future-oriented rail technology.

Required Skills

Education

Completed electrotechnical vocational training (e.g., Electronics Technician for Operational Technology or Automation Technology)

Experience

  • Long-term professional experience in the assembly and commissioning of automation systems
  • Experience in the technical leadership of employees
  • Knowledge of railway signaling technology (ideally)

Languages

German (Fluent)

  • High degree of willingness to travel (multi-day deployments to construction sites across Germany)
