This role involves serving as a Technical Specialist within the Building Inspection Department, focusing primarily on environmental protection and immission control procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing permitting processes for industrial facilities under immission control law, monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enforcing the Federal Immission Control Act for non-permitted facilities. You will also provide expert opinions on urban development plans and building permit procedures, and offer technical and procedural advice to facility operators. The position requires a university degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in fields such as Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related technical disciplines, coupled with essential prior experience in commercial immission control law and public building regulations. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Diploma degree (FH/University level) in Environmental Technology, Environmental Engineering, Process Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Supply and Disposal Technology, Mechanical Engineering (with environmental focus), or related natural science fields (Chemistry/Physics). Alternatively, Administrative Specialist (Verwaltungsfachwirt) with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Relevant prior knowledge and experience in commercial immission control law
  • Experience in cross-media monitoring of industrial and commercial operations
  • Professional experience in applying immission control procedures (if holding an Administrative Specialist qualification)
