Job Summary
This role involves serving as an SAP Consultant specializing in Financial Accounting (FI) and Asset Accounting (FI-AA) within the Dortmund City Administration's IT department. You will provide comprehensive module consulting, system configuration (Customizing), and operational support for these critical SAP modules. Day-to-day tasks include leading or co-leading finance and asset accounting projects, optimizing related business processes, and ensuring the continued development and maintenance of the SAP system. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Informatics or Business Administration, several years of professional experience as an SAP consultant in FI/FI-AA, and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA concepts. This position offers an interesting and varied work environment with a high degree of personal responsibility, flexible working conditions (up to 50% home office), and the opportunity to drive digitalization within a major German city administration.
Required Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree or FH Diploma in Informatics, IT-focused studies, Business Administration, Management Science, or a comparable field. Alternatively, successful completion of the Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II) or qualification as a civil servant in the non-technical administrative service.
Experience
- Several years of professional experience as an SAP Consultant with SAP FI and FI-AA modules
- Experience in performing non-standard SAP Customizing
- Experience in creating concepts for mapping business processes in SAP
- Experience in project leadership or sub-project leadership (implied by task list)
