Job Summary

Join Roche as an Application Specialist in Bioinformatics, focusing on Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) products within the EMEA Regional Customer Support Center. In this crucial role, you will leverage your deep bioinformatic expertise to ensure the availability and quality of sequencing products. Daily tasks involve providing advanced troubleshooting and expert support for complex NGS analysis issues, handling technical inquiries from customers and Roche employees, and collaborating on complaint resolution with global units. A key responsibility is conducting training sessions for both external customers and internal support staff. Candidates must hold a PhD in Bioinformatics or a related field, or a Bachelor's degree plus at least five years of relevant experience, including a minimum of three years working directly with NGS technologies. Practical experience designing, developing, and deploying bioinformatics pipelines for NGS applications like Whole Exome/Genome Sequencing is essential, along with familiarity with Linux systems. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, or a related field; OR Bachelor's degree or higher in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field combined with relevant experience.
