Job Summary
The Max Planck Institute for Physics is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to take a leading role in the MADMAX experiment, an innovative project focused on detecting Axion Dark Matter. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, characterization, and implementation of critical experimental components, including the microwave radiometer, the first stage detector element, and the dielectric haloscope booster. Required Skills
Education
PhD in Microwave Engineering, Experimental Physics, Astronomy, or a closely related field
Experience
- Leading role in experimental system development and implementation
- Professional experience with RF signal simulation tools (e.g., ADS, COMSOL, CST)
- Professional experience with cryogenic equipment
