Job Summary

This full-time, fixed-term position until October 2027 involves ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of complex mechanical and electrical systems at the Northern Ship Lift in Niederfinow. The primary responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving faults in ongoing operations, which requires configuration, parameterization, and detailed troubleshooting of machinery and systems. You will be responsible for executing preventive maintenance (PU) plans, utilizing SAP PM for planning and preparation, and servicing mechatronic, electrohydraulic, and HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications. Key requirements include a completed vocational qualification as an Electronics Technician or equivalent, professional experience as a qualified electrician, and proficiency in reading and programming PLC controls. Due to the critical nature of the infrastructure, the role requires flexibility, including shift work, Sunday/holiday work, and participation in on-call duty, making it a demanding yet essential role in maintaining large-scale public waterways infrastructure.
