Job Summary
This part-time Research Associate position (Doctoral Candidate) at the University of Wuppertal is situated within the Theoretical and Mathematical Physics working group. The primary focus of the role is conducting advanced theoretical physics research, specifically involving the further development of methodologies for the exact calculation of correlation functions. This work relates directly to integrable lattice models and quantum field theories. In addition to research, the candidate is required to provide academic teaching support for Bachelor's and Master's Physics programs, totaling two teaching hours per week. This is a qualifying position intended to facilitate the completion of a doctoral degree (PhD). Successful candidates must hold a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics and demonstrate strong foundational knowledge in Quantum Field Theories and Statistical Mechanics, alongside basic familiarity with the theory of integral quantum systems. The position is initially fixed-term for up to three years.
