Job Summary

This is a full-time, permanent position within the Higher Service at the State Institute for the Environment Baden-Württemberg (LUBW) in Karlsruhe, focusing on the critical area of Radioactivity and Radiation Protection. The successful candidate will be responsible for the IT-technical operation and administration of the computer-aided Nuclear Reactor Remote Monitoring System (KFÜ-BW), a central component of civil protection. Day-to-day tasks include managing databases, networks, and data transfer for the KFÜ system, administering radioactivity measurement networks, and validating data. The role also involves developing technical concepts for network advancement, participating in radiological emergency response teams, and conducting simulations for the spread of radioactive substances. Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline and possess a strong combination of scientific background and excellent IT skills, particularly in databases and network administration.
