Job Summary
This role at the Federal Office for Radiation Protection (BfS) involves critical work in environmental radioactivity, focusing on air emissions and immissions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing sample logistics, preparing and shipping samples to external laboratories, and independently conducting radiochemical analyses for alpha and beta emitters in exhaust air samples from nuclear facilities. A key part of the role includes preparing for interlaboratory comparison tests for tritium and carbon-14, developing methods for homogeneous material loading, and implementing comprehensive quality assurance measures within a radiochemical laboratory. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA), Physical-Technical Assistant (PhyTA), state-certified Chemical Technician, or comparable qualification.
Experience
- Initial experience in a chemical laboratory
- Experience in sample preparation
- Experience in wet chemical analysis (ideally radiochemical analysis)
