Job Summary
The City of Karlsruhe is seeking an Information Security Officer to join its Office for Information Technology and Digitalization. This role is crucial for establishing, operating, and continuously improving the IT security management system. Day-to-day tasks involve contributing to IT emergency management, analyzing IT infrastructure, developing security policies, documenting and controlling security measures, and handling security incidents. The ideal candidate will also conduct information security awareness training and implement Green IT initiatives. Required Skills
Education
Completed degree in (Business) Informatics, Public Administration (Digital Administrative Management or Public Management), or a comparable qualification. Alternatively, a qualified vocational training in an IT field.
Experience
- Professional experience in an IT environment (for career changers)
- Experience as an Information Security Officer (desirable)
- Experience in applying BSI IT-Grundschutz, GDPR, and IT security laws (desirable)
