Postdoctoral Researcher in Experimental Particle Physics | Postdoctoral position (f/m/d)
Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaft e.V Max-Planck-Institut für Physik
Job Summary
The Max-Planck-Institute for Physics is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to join their ATLAS group, focusing on experimental particle physics. The successful candidate will take a leading role in the development, construction, and commissioning coordination of muon detectors for the ATLAS experiment at CERN, particularly for the High-Luminosity LHC upgrades. This involves working with front-end and trigger electronics for MDT chambers and thin-gap Resistive Plate detectors, as well as contributing to future collider detector and ASIC developments. There are also opportunities to engage in ATLAS data analysis, focusing on Higgs boson properties and new physics searches, and to participate in university teaching. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in fundamental particle physics.
