Job Summary

This role is for a Specialist in Fundamental Affairs and Data Protection within the Youth and School Department's "Financial Management, Planning, and IT" division. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for legal and organizational fundamental questions, data protection, and occupational safety. Day-to-day, you will assess legal developments, develop guidelines for uniform application of administrative law, and create decision-making templates. A significant part of the role involves advising departments on administrative law, conducting data protection impact assessments, and formulating internal data protection regulations. You will also manage data subject requests and support the official data protection officer, ensuring legal compliance and a secure working environment across the department. This position offers a chance to actively shape processes and provide crucial legal safeguarding.

Required Skills

Education

Civil service qualification for career group 2, first entry-level for general administrative service, or successful completion of Administrative Course II, or a comparable degree (e.g., Diploma in Finance Administration, Diploma in Legal Administration, Bachelor/Diploma in Administrative Management), OR a completed university degree (Bachelor or Diploma) in Law (e.g., 1st or 1st and 2nd State Examination)

Experience

  • Professional experience in evaluating legal developments and advising on implementation
  • Experience in developing guidelines and instructions for legal compliance
  • Experience in preparing consultation and decision-making documents for fundamental legal questions
  • Professional experience in administrative law procedures and data protection matters
  • Experience in assessing data protection requirements and conducting data protection impact assessments
  • Experience in developing internal data protection regulations
  • Professional experience in responding to data subject requests (right of access, rectification, erasure)
