Job Summary
This role involves planning, executing, and evaluating complex experimental work to optimize and establish genome editing techniques in plant biotechnology, focusing on molecular biology methods and cell culture. The successful candidate will conduct molecular cloning, DNA extractions, and prepare vectors and bacterial cultures. They will also manage plant cell cultures, analyze genetically modified plants, and prepare and evaluate samples for various sequencing types. Beyond experimental duties, the position includes general lab management and the technical supervision of trainees, students, and doctoral candidates. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in an international team, enhancing the genetic diversity of crops through precise genome editing.
Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Biology Laboratory Technician, Biological-Technical Assistant, or equivalent qualification
Experience
- Professional experience in molecular biological laboratory work
- Solid knowledge in PCR and cloning

- Foreign degrees require a fee-based equivalence assessment in Germany, to be presented upon employment.
