Job Summary

This role involves supporting international capacity development projects at the THW (German Federal Agency for Technical Relief) headquarters in Bonn. The successful candidate will be responsible for the financial and logistical management of project funds and procurements, ensuring compliance with technical parameters and regional regulations. Key tasks include advising on financial matters, preparing final accounts and reports for donors, and developing solutions for personnel and technical challenges. Additionally, the role requires supporting project monitoring, organizing project-related events like training and workshops, and communicating with partner organizations in Arabic. Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training of at least 3 years (commercial, administrative, or other)

Experience

  • Professional experience in project support
  • Completed commercial or administrative vocational training of at least 3 years, or other 3-year vocational training with proven professional experience in a commercial or administrative field
  • Knowledge of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) from several years of voluntary work (alternative to professional experience)

Languages

Arabic (Fluent)

  • Willingness to undertake planned domestic and international business trips; Willingness to receive necessary vaccinations for tropical suitability; Willingness to undergo a security clearance (SÜG 1); Willingness to work outside regular hours when required (e.g., in emergencies) and be reachable; Willingness to participate in the Command and Coordination Staff (LuK); Willingness to wear service or operational clothing on certain occasions; Proof of equivalence for foreign educational qualifications.
