Job Summary

This part-time PhD position at the Leibniz Institute of Photonics Technology in Jena focuses on developing a comprehensive data pipeline for mid-infrared (IR) spectroscopy in biomedical applications. The successful candidate will systematically investigate spectral analysis steps, including preprocessing to remove artifacts and implementing quality control procedures. A core responsibility will be to develop and validate machine learning and deep learning approaches to extract meaningful biomedical knowledge from spectral data.
